"The eyes are the window of the soul, the mouth the door." I don't know what you guys think about the second part of the sentence, but I got to agree with the first part of it.

The eyes truly tell us one's emotion. I'm sure by experience, we all have seen people who smile that genuinely but the eyes are telling us they are heartbroken, depressed and sad. People that trick others into a series of deception with their face full of pleasure and yet the eyes aren't truly smiling. People who tried to contain a laugh but their eyes gave away their signs of amusement.

In love stories, romantic parts always speak of lovers' looking into each other's eyes. Not melodramatic, but sweet enough to understand that their feelings for each other. Liars shift their glances to look anywhere but the person they are lying to and that also goes for embarrassment; events in which the party doesn't want to let others known of their thinking, all which is lied just in their eyes.

Eyes allow us to see the world and also the world to look into us.
